Royal Ramblas - Barcelona, Spain

Very central hotel with helpful staff ideally located to explore sights of city. Metro entrance & Tourist info booth right outside and 2mins from tourist bus starting point. Easily able to walk to the Port area and Gaudi's Casa Batlo in short time from hotel. Stayed in a lovely medium room with no view but we were out and about more often than in hotel! Large bathroom with great shower and walk in wardrobe with safe. Breakfast was simple continental at 9euro each while watching the street performers warming up. Restaurant in evening was little overpriced but loads of other places nearby including Attic opposite (yum!) & Les Quinze Nits and Taxidermista are 5min walk away beside a couple of lively Irish bars in Placa Reial.

Location ideal. Hotel very good in every respect. Cafés and good quality restaurants close by. Taxis passing constantly. Being in a room overlooking Las Ramblas was a bonus.

We stay 4 days in Barcelona. WE enjoy our stay. The hotel Royal Ramblas is very well situated in the centre of all the activities. The staff in the reception is not very friendly and smily.

BATHWATER IS ONLY LUKEWARM THROUGHOUT THE HOTEL BECAUSE THEY TURN THE BOILER DOWN. BARELY OK FOR SHOWER, BUT A HOT BATH SOAK FOR TIRED LEGS IS IMPOSSIBLE

The room was modernly furnished and the location good, and the breakfast was pretty extensive. The English left a little something to be desired, however, by some of the employees behind the desk.
