I agree with previous reviewers re thin walls and creaky beds - but if you're not going to be in your room that much and you're s ound sleeper then this would be an OK budget hotel.
The Omonia area has a bad reputation as several reviews below have mentioned - it seemed OK when I was there but apparently the streets had been cleaned up for a special event in Athens. Considered staying there again when I visited Athens more recently but from the reviews below it seems the safety situation has worsened and I ended up staying in Plaka instead.

Même si j'ai pris les devants (merci aux précédentes critiques) je ne m'attendais pas à ça... enfin plus ou moins... mais on a toujours tendance à espérer des vacances réussies! Avec des souvenirs inoubliables... Bref un tableau sans taches!
Le choix de l'hotel participe au tableau. Maintenant si vous venez d'une grande ville, peux importe le pays, vous devez savoir que toutes les villes ont des quartiers à éviter, pas forcément parcequ'ils sont dangereux mais parcequ'ils sont insalubres et ou tout simplement "moches"! C'est dans l'un de ces endroits que ce situe l'amaryllis hotel. Un des chauffeur de taxi appelait même ce quartier "Pakistan land" (référence aux nombreux immigrés Pakistanais...et oui la grèce est une porte de l'Europe) Mais Je dois insister sur le faite que l'endroit n'est absolument pas dangereux!
(Pour les taxis, demander toujours le prix avant de monter... les compteurs sont souvents trafiqués... Si vous n'êtes pas Grecs ils n'auront aucun scrupules à vous arnaquer... C'est illégale mais pas interdit! Comprenne qui pourra!)
Bon après cette longue introduction parlant de l'hotel. D'abord le personnel cordiale... rien à redire! Pour les chambres comme les précédentes critiques... petites mais propres! Là je dois avouer que j'ai anticipé... j'ai pris une chambre au 9ième (merci encore pour les critiques)... plus calme... Petit déjeuner... ben petit! Pour un sportif comme moi trop trop léger! En résumé une chambre pour dormir... et seulement dormir! A déconseillé aux couples... Absence totale de romantisme de l'endroit!
En résumé Hotel à éviter!
Je voulais visiter Athenes en décembre pour voir Acropolis sou le soleil de l'hiver sans polution et sans le flux de touristes! Et sur ce point j'ai été gâté... mais la nuit venue, à l'heure de ce coucher, l'hotel gâche un peu cette impression
