The Gatwick White House Hotel - Horley, United Kingdom     

Don't ever think of staying at this dump. Staff are the most unhelpful people in the world. Free transfer from the airport, what a joke! We had to pay a fiver because we were leaving early in the morning. We had to get the driver out of his bed to take us to the airport even though we had arranged a time for the transfer. The place is dirty, a throw back to the 1970's that was probaldy the last time the place was decorated. Go here at your peril, I'm sure the bed was full of bugs, spent most of the night scratching. Be warned if you want to enjoy your holiday don't stay overnight here first.

We booked this hotel as we would be arriving late and the website stated that the dining room would be open until 10pm. On arriving we were told in no uncertain terms that theinformation was out of date even although it was also on their information board. We asked for even a sanwich and were told we could get them at a garage up the road. Reluctantly as the driver was going back to Gatwick he reluctantly dropped us off at the garage. As we walked back in the rain he passed us by. The staff were very rude and unhelpful and just watched as I struggled up the stairs with my case. My room was so hot and I could not open the window as it was onto a flat roof - not safe nor was I able to turn the heating down. My wardrobe was a coat hook with 2 hangers. The whole place is very run down and should not be recommended by anyone. Although we had paid for rooms on our return from holiday we decided to suffer the loss and booked a TravelLodge.
