What an absolute gem. I booked this hotel for my wedding anniversary, my wife and I enjoyed our stay so much that we've already booked a room for next year. The staff are most hospitable and the food is delicious. It's only a few minutes from Norwich city centre which is full of historic buildings and has a nice mix of restaurants. 'Tomblands' as it was called, has a good few restaurants for everyones taste. I'm basing my rating here simply on the fact that I didn't have one complaint, perhaps the only thing I could complain about was the weather! But it's England!

This hotel is situated on the outskirts of Norwich and can be a little tricky to find. The exterior is interesting and the gardens peaceful. The bedrooms were fine but getting to them was a bit interesting since there did not seem to be an elevator or a porter available. The restaurant was pretty good with an interesting menu and wine list. I thought the food was pretty good. The main bar is a bit soulless and needs some refurbishment, particularly the furniture, although the selection of single malts is hard to criticize. I thought the staff members were helpful, cheerful and attentive. The fire escape routes could do with better signing because of the complexity of the building. I consider this to be a reasonable hotel and good value, worth a visit.
