Avanti Hotel - Paphos, Cyprus 

just got back from the avanti hotel and can not believe some of its reviews they are very unfair. the staff were very helpful. our room was kept very tidy the maid even folded my childrens pjs serching round the room to find them. the entertainment team was small but very commited and worked very hard although not many children were at the hotel the ones that were loved them. the breakfast was good there was a small problem with ants but there were so many in the resort i think it must be an ongoing battle. the hair dryer broke in my room and was repaired within 10 min of reporting it. the pool and the gardens were beautiful and you could get a sunbed and brolly anytime of the day they also supply pool towles. many of the people we meet round the pool have been returning to this hotel year after year which i think speaks volumes. this hotel would suit all ages far enough out from the main resort to be quite but close enough it you want it a bit buiser.

We have just come back from a weeks stay at the Avanti Hotel and had a lovely time. The hotel was very clean from what I saw and the bedrooms were cleaned every day and clean towels given. The breakfast was help yourself style (which I like) which included full english breakfast, chocolate bread, toast, hams & cheese,fresh fruit and cereal so a great choice. We went half board and the dinners were okay, they were also a buffet, I wasn't overly impressed by the dinners and we ate out on 'Seafood night'. The staff all seemed quite friendly especially the reception staff and the entertainers.The Harbour is a nice place to venture out to as there are a lot of nice restaurants and shops,including Debenhams,Dorothy Perkins and Peacocks! I had an extremely relaxing and enjoyable time at the Avanti...exactly what I needed. Although if I go to Pathos again, which is likely because the weather is great I would probably not go to the Avanti as I don't normally go to the same place again.The only downer of the holiday was delays in flights going out and coming back to Gatwick and also the 2 hour delay in getting our luggage back at Gatwick!!
