The HIExpress was my home for 2 wks and I almost didn't want to leave. The property is clean and well-maintained, and located in an area filled with many shopping and dining options (Calexico, Stone Park Cafe, & Lookout Hill are among my favs). The bed was very comfy & the free breakfast had a good variety to choose from daily. The staff was always friendly & helpful, especially with directions. The IKEA shuttle stops by frequently, & public transportation is close by. You're minutes from the city, but there's so much to do & see in BK, you just may want to explore this fun & diverse area. And this hotel is a good home base for just that.

While the block that this property is located on is somewhat run down, do not be scared away. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious with good amenities (bedding & toiletries) and a free breakfast. A half block away are really nice restaurants, stores & botiques great for strolling & window shopping. The hotel is also close to subway stops & within walking distance to Brooklyn's Prospect Park & Planetarium.
