Vacanza Sun Beach Resort - Guardamar del Segura, Spain     

We booked this hotel through Travel Replublic.co.uk. For a short break in April this year.The website stated a coffie shop was available for snacks and drinks. On ariving at the hotel after traveling from 6am that morning we asked for a drink and snack at reception as the snack bar had a closed signe on it. We were advised that we could only get something to eat or drink at brakfast and dinner, and that we should go to the only 2 restaraunts available within walking distance. These were Chinese and mexican. Situated over the island in the main road. The pool bar was boarded up and restaraunt closed. As we booked this break for just 4 days as a compleate break just to sit around the pool and read all day. we found this to be unacceptable.We checked that the hotel had a pool 'in use' snacks and drinks and a restaraunt, as these where what we were looking for for a relaxing short break. The websites states, snacks and drinks available and pool bar available. This is not the case. If the hotel only have these available at certain times of the year then this should be stated. We stayed one night and moved hotels. Unfortunataly we are still trying to get our money back for the other 3 nights payed for. Although this hotel is very clean and rooms are well equiped. If you just want a relaxing break early in the year, where you dont want to have to go to chinese or mexican resteraunt just for drinks this is not the hotel for you. We found the staff to be very unhelpfull and abrupt. The hotel was very quiet and i can understand why.
