Our family of 4 ( 2 children ages 4 & 7) stayed there for 2 weeks. It is the most kid-friendly hotel in Egypt.!! Before our arrival, I contacted the hotel and they sent us a shuttle to meet us at the airport. We arrived at 1 am. The lobby is gorgeous and check-in was a snap. I had previously requested that I have a midnight snack ready for the kids in our rooms when we arrived, and I was not sure if it will be there, but to my delight it was, and it was accompanied by a large fruit basket. Yum!! I booked 2 executive rooms because we had nanny with us for our entire stay. The rooms are clean, spacious and new. Our rooms overlooked the golf course which was great, because they were quite. It really did not feel like u were in Cairo!! The Executive lounge was a wonderful. Breakfast is served till 10 am with omelets made to order which was a neat surprise because I only expected a continental breakfast to be served. Happy hour is from 6 to 7 pm every night with cocktails and a delicious selection of appetizers. You can swing by and pick up bottled water and soda and chips all day. A word of caution: Children are not allowed in the Executive lounge past 11 am. Service was impeccable and house keeping was wonderful. We had a nightly turn-down service. Room service had a large varietry of options and all orders were promptly delivered within 45 mins. Now for the best part: THE POOLS . As I mentioned earlier this is the best hotel for kids in Cairo. They have 5 swimming pools: a regular pool, a beach pool with artificial waves that go on for 30 mins every hour (think Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas), a baby pool, a kid pool with water slides and huge pool with slides and a waterfall. It is kid-heaven. Service in the pool was great and they have delicious food. It is EXPENSIVE, but the quality is good and it is clean. My kids loved every minute of our stay there!! A v ery important point that I noticed was that the air quality over there is different; cleaner, not as smoggy and polluted as the rest of Cairo. I cannot recommend this hotel enough of you have children and are planning on visiting Cairo

It was a week of business trip. We arrived at the hotel from London at 4am. It is a beautiful hotel with very friendly Egyptian staffs. Room has a bath and a seperate shower, which was useful. Lovely settings in the room and comfortable beds. Restaurants are varied; we love the Lebanese 'Ahwein' restaurant the best. The singers in the group of 3 at the restaurant have wonderful voice; they sang live and in Arabic - very melodic and I enjoyed the show. The Mirage Cafe was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food served were not the best compared to the other restaurants at the hotel. The steakhouse restaurant was superb. Highly recommended for anyone who love to eat meat. The hotel has a water park - apparently it is the only water park in the whole of Egypt. It is called 'The Beach', with 2 seperate pools - one with a 'wave' (run by a machine), and the other was a pleasant spot too. One can wear bikini there - no problem. The hotel is an international status so many guests were just wearing clothes that were simple and functional for them, especially in the heat of Cairo city. The hotel is close to Cairo International Airport, perhaps around 20 minutes on a quiet day. Few shops in the hotel, but no shop for nice clothing (dinner dress - bring your own). The hotel is massive and spacious, with a view of a small golf course.
