I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Rooms service was very reasonable and efficient. The rooms are very clean and of a good size. The mini bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. TV has many channels, but the pay movies are a little pricey. The location of the hotel is very good - just a 5 min walk from the old town square. Many shops surround the hotel and the hotel offers vouchers for taxis to the airport which can save you more than 50% of normal fares. Of the 6 hotels I have visited in Tallinn, I have found this to be the best of the bunch.

Very nice hotel and service, but too many people in the breakfast all at onceness.

I stayed one night at at the Tallink City Hotel. It looks quite grand on the outside but the rooms are small. I was in town for work and shared a room with a colleague but we were given one big bed instead of 2 small ones!! I found the bathroom untidy. The location is good, just a short walk from the Old Town and also from the ferries if you come from Finland or Sweden. The breakfast is okay, The yoghurt was too warm for my liking - in my opinion more attention should be given to keep diary products cool. The restaurant where breakfast is served is modern and airy. If I had to choose between Sokos Hotel Viru and Tallink City Hotel, I'd go for the Sokos Hotel any day. But saying that, the big hotels really lack ambiance, so next time I'm going for a boutique hotel.
