Nice hotel, nice rooms, but in need of some renovation. The room had an unpleasant smell of cold cigarette. Anyway, the price proposed on Venere.com (125 euro) is excellent for such a hotel.

Nice room and lobby area. But the restaurant was terrible. We couldn't finish the meals we had chosen, and had to wait too long to get it, and later to get someone whom to pay the bill. Also, I was later charged for wine from the minibar I did not consume.

Beautiful, but noisy

I was really looking forward to staying in this hotel and had read the reviews so specifically requested one of their 'quieter' rooms. The hotel is in a perfect location and is very charming. There is no airconditioning and it was incredibly hot, so we wanted to leave the bedroom window open. Fortunately we did not get a room across from the beer hall, unfortunately we had a room directly above a bar with live music. After asking (took about 10mins) if we could change we were told that they were full and we could use the earplugs - great - that doesnt really block out the base beat which was constantly thumping. I would probably not recommend staying here if you are here on a weekend and would like some sleep. I think I would have preferred to save EUR100 per night and stay somewhere cheaper and quieter. One great thing about the city is restaurant Gloria. The food is amazing and the service is great.
