We stayed at First Hotel over new year. We found the staff, cleanliness & breakfast all first class also very central position in Copenhagen. The only downside was the size of the rooms, ive never stayed in such a small hotel room before even in New York, and would not use again because of this.

The hotel was located about three blocks from the main train station and very easy to find and walk to with carry-on luggage. We stayed there for three nights upon arriving in Denmark from the US before we caught a cruise. The hotel was recommended by our flight attendants as this is where they stayed and checked in early. I have problems sleeping and was concerned by possible street noise and light from the long days of sunshine (it was summer time) so I asked for a quiet, sleep easy room. We were assigned an inside room on the 3rd floor (4th by US standards) that opened onto an atrium. The room was small by US standards but normal for Europe with very nice bedding, bathroom and amenties. My only complaint with the room was that we could not get it cool enough at night. I like to sleep in a very cold room and pile on the covers. If we had been in an outside room I could have opened the window to unheated fresh air. It was cool enough if you used only the sheet and not the feather blanket. The WiFi worked great and there was a computer in the lobby for guests' use. The breakfast was exceptional. It allowed us to fill up at breakfast and only stop for a quick coffee break to sustain us until an early dinner. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They all spoke perfect English as we are "dumb Americans" and do not speak anyother language fluently. We rented bicycles at the train station ( their great recommendation) to explore the town and the hotel provided a locked area for us to store the bikes at night. If we are ever back in Copenhagen we will be back.

We are two guests from Shanghai have booked two double rooms (check in on 28 Nov and Check out 30 Nov). In the midnight around 1am in 29Nov, in one of the two Rooms , somebody broke in with the same key as my colleague has. he was so scared that he jumped out and rush to the front desk. the staff at the front desk is very very rude to him and suppose he was the illegal invader. after the rude survey, they knew that something must be wrong and blame all the fault to the hotel computer break-down and with no appology for everything. my colleague cannot sleep that night. and in the next morning, at 8 am on 29 NOV, we want to complain, still no feedback from the hotel. We also canceled the tour around the city because of the bad sleep. Complaints: hotel staff is very impolite and not friendly which is very negative, especially, after such a big thing happens, there is no appology. It is the first time for us to come to Copenhagen, But the hotel gave us a very bad impression.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay and were well serviced by hotel staff. The public area was clean but quite busy and on the small side for the number of people staying. However this is a city centre hotel and space is at a premium. So all in all the hotel was good value and most convenient for city services. Gerard/Ann O'Brien, dublin, Ireland.

We wanted to stay near the downtown area, so we picked this hotel, just a few blocks from the train station and the Tivoli Gardens. The neighbodhood is a little dingy, lot of gum on the streets, not a very pretty neighborhood. Hotel had no internet during our stay, because "The computer is broken and the service is down". They didn't appear to be trying to fix it. In a very expensive city, these rooms didn';t seem worth the price. I'd stay at a different hotel next time.
