Pros: Very modern renovated rooms are clean and comfortable, good service level, location, price during renovation was very good. Cons: Deluxe bathroom is smallish for two people, glass shower divider does not adequately block water, lobby and other unrenovated areas were at the ends of their useful lives. Takeaway: Will be a good addition to the Meridien family once the renovation is complete. For now expect a Meridien quality room in a somewhat dilapidated building at a cheap price.

I stayed in this hotel over New Year's Eve 2007/2008, until Jan, 2nd. Although the common areas are fine, I can hardly believe this can ever become a 5-star hotel as it seems to be the case when the renovations are over. I stayed in one of the renovated rooms. I booked a Superior Room, but was informed that (being so small!!!) a babycot could not fit there. Therefore had to pay to be upgrade to a so-called Deluxe room, which was very small! Although renovated and very "new", the view was terrible top an inneryard (ground floor!), the windows are old and of wood not giving isolation for the cold outside; not high enough. The feeling it t~hat you get into a Palace and get your "Waiters room on the Palace". My room was not serviced until 4 pm (it was dark already, we came back exhausted after a long day out, and no one had cleaned it yet!). Well, for the price, which is not so low, it is not worth. There are certainly better hotels even a a 3 star category in Copenhagen.
