We stayed here in May 2007 as part of our Honeymoon doing a tour of the Baltics. The hotel was one of the first Airline hotels and I should imagine that in the 60's it was quite posh and very stylish, but the hotel defiantely has seen better days. The staff were quite abrupt and offhand, having just come from an SAS Radisson in Helsinki were the staff were lovely, polite and couldn't do enough to make our stay more comfortable. I was also informed on check in that there would be an additional cost for Breakfast even though I had checked the Breakfast included rate, having looked at the prices I thoguht I'll get breakfast next door at McDonalds for cheaper. Upon checking out I was charged for Breakfast I was told by the check in agent that I had been misinformed at check in (although it was the same agent). I also arranged for a late check out as we had an evening flight. I got back to the room to find the maid trying to pack our stuff. We then had a call asking when we would be checking out, within 5 minutes I had another call asking when we were checking out, followed by another 5 minutes later. All the calls made by differant members of staff. I was really not impressed by this at all, although it was 4/5* prices it really wasn't offering 5 star service. The room itself was alright compact but clean, although the fittings were quite worn a surprise considering the cost of the staying here. The bathroom also was not as good as I was expecting. Our room overlooked Tivoli Gardens which was quite nice for the fireworks display, but it also meant that it overlooked the main road which was used like a drag racing strip throughout the night. The overall stay really put a downer on the end of our Honeymoon, we'd stayed in some wonderful hotels and this wasn't one of them. Despite the central location Save your money & go somewhere else!

Very nice hotel, with friendly staff. We got a nice room on the 15th floor, with a beautiful view over the Tivoli amusement park. Hard Rock Caf? Copenhagen is situated just across from the hotel, as well as Tivoli. There's a stop for all three lines for the seightseeing buses just around the corner, and it's not far to walk over to the pedestrian area of downtown Copenhagen. There are public bicycle stands all over the city, where you can insert a 20 kroner coin (~$4-5), whisch then again releases the public bike from a chain (much like a shopping chart in most European cities). Afterwards you just need to return the bike to a stall close to where your trip ends. They are scattered all over the city. The breakfast buffet was ok, and you can order any kind of omelet or egg dish that you want, without extra charge. A lot of fresh fruits, and different kinds of bread. All in all a really nice hotel;-)!
