Hotel & Resort Funfjahreszeiten - Todtmoos, Germany 

The Hotel Fuenfjahreszeiten is in the village of Todtmoos, Germany, in the southern Black Forest. The hotel rooms are large - we had a 2-bedroom apartment which could accommodate six people quite easily. We (two adults and a 13-year old) stayed in the hotel annex, which is the time share section of the hotel, but each day the apartment was cleaned and the beds made up by hotel staff. The only drawback was that the TV had only one English-speaking channel! Cooking was via a stove and a microwave - no cooker. There is entertainment in the hotel, with a relaxing bar which allows children in. Hotel food was no more than average, and there is a steep (very steep) 10-minute walk to the village where there were enough restaurants and cafes to make eating no problem. This part of the Black Forest is ideal for walkers and hikers, and the trees and waterfalls make for delightful treks. We took the local bus on outings. There really is no need for a car if you want to have a healthy holiday!
