My family (2 adults and 2 children) stayed at the Tryp Wolfsburg in June 2008 and really enjoyed our stay. After a bit of convincing the hotel allowed us to book one room with a fold out bed as opposed to two rooms that they usually insist on for a family of four. It was a bit cramped but o.k for a couple of nights as we were out and about alot. We had travelled a long way (from New Zealand) and were very tired and jetlagged. Check in was efficient and friendly and the rooms clean and modern. The only negative was the shower which was difficult to moderate in temperature. It may have been a problem just with our shower but it wasn't bad enough for us to complain. The breakfast buffet, which was included for the adults in our rate, was really great. The staff friendly and the food lovely and plentiful. The cafe across the road at the train station also does great coffee and amazing baked goods. If you are in Wolfsburg for Autostadt or Phaeno then you can't get a better location. It is located about 2 minutes walk from Phaeno and the train station and just over the bridge from Autostadt. It was surprising quiet for such a central location.
