Drove to Offenburg without hotel reservation.We needed a triple room.We got a suite for two days at much below their usual rate because it was a slow time and it was Sunday. The staff were very friendly.Our room was very nice and the beds very comfy.Everything was immaculate.The breakfast buffet was to die for!! and was included in the price.As we were returning our rental car here and taking the train to Munich,it was great that we did not have to walk far to train station with our backpacks.The rooms are huge in size compared to Paris.We had a wonderful experience here! Lovely city!

The Golden Tulip Hotel is very nice with excellent staff. Rooms were very nice as was the location. They did not seem to get the hang of the British taste in food, but the chef tried very hard, speaking to us every evening.
Offenburg is a very pretty town, by day and night, a place I would visit again if I was in the area.
The area around the Black Forest is nice, but I don.t think it is an place I would particulaly want to return to.
