The Club Hotel & Spa - Saint Helier Jersey, United Kingdom 

On arrival it appeared to be a nice hotel, we where shown around the hotel, this included a visit to the spa, which we where informed that you could only use the facilities between 08:00 and 10:00 then 18:00 and 20:00. When I actually used the spa I found it to be not well maintained or rather not well cleaned. Our first room 210 appeared ok at the outset but we wanted to explore so left the room until later on our return and the first visit to the bathroom, we found the wall damp with the paint and wallpaper coming away. The flat screen TV had its power wires exposed and the room itself was in need of TLC. To be fair to the hotel they moved us to another room. Room 204, this room appeared ok, until I went into the wardrobe to get out a complimentary dressing gown. I found the lights in the wardrobe did not work and the dressing gown had been used by another guest and had a strong aroma of the previous guest’s aftershave. My complimentary paper never arrived. The breakfast was good, but I feel the hotel is a little warn and not managed very well. At check out, I was not asked if we had a pleasant stay or if everything was ok. I was just informed that we had paid directly to a third party.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Club Hotel; our room was fabulous - modern decor with flat screen T.V's, nice lounge area, well stocked mini-bar and two excellent bathrooms. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The staff at the Club were, in the main, very friendly and helpful. Just two small niggles - the spa was rather lack-lustre and actually very grubby and the Bohemia restaurant was quite disappointing. We much prefered the food, service and ambience of the hotel's Club Cafe. Having said this, we still recommend the Club Hotel and we would definitely stay there again. We would simply give the spa and the Bohemia a miss next time.
