Booked this hotel with a day´s notice after decided to stay in Nuremburg for a couple of days. A lovely small hotel well situated in the south west of the old city. Originally booked a standard room which was old and grim but was able to upgrade to one of the new rooms which was lovely with great furnishings. Fine though undistinguished breakfast. Though a great fan of German sausages, the sausage place on the same block was awful and should be avoided

Took us a long time to decide whether to book this hotel since there were no prior reviews on tripadvisor! However this was the only hotel we could find that is close to Old Town Nuremberg, offers parking (we were on a driving trip to multiple European cities), and is affordable. It was a little difficult to find, once in the area, look out for signposts with the hotel name at cross roads. The hotel is in a quiet area, has a secured lot where we parked for free, don't try parking on the narrow streets which requires a resident permit. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very spacious room waiting for the 3 of us on the 3rd floor, a small table with chairs in the middle, a desk along the wall, minibar, tv. Our teenager has her bed in an alcove, very nice, gave her some space away from our double bed (two twins pushed together, typical of European hotels). Only negative is the tiny bathroom with a half-tub shower although everything was clean and working. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful, the small lobby has an at-home feeling and well used by guests. There was a PC near the reception where one can check email for free. We booked our room through venere.com, I thought the rate was quite reasonable compared to other hotels in the city center. We declined breakfast in the hotel for 9 euros each since there are so many nice bakeries nearby. The best thing part is the location, just a short walk across to the main pedestrian street lined with shops, restaurants, cafes, street vendors, interspersed by churches, sculptures and bridges. Easy stroll to all the sights and museums of Old Town, lots of atmosphere, too bad we only had one night. The clerk let us keep our car in the hotel parking lot the next morning while we visited the Toy Museum (15 min. walk). A lot of interesting restaurants nearby, Japanese, German, Ethiopian, etc. Will definitely stay here if I visit Nuremberg again.
