The hotel building itself is not particularly beautiful but the setting is wonderful, in the middle of typical pretty German country town. At the back of the hotel is a huge terrace for eating out in summer in front of a very pretty park containing the actual Schloss which almost looks like a doll's house. The hotel rooms are simply but stylishly furnished. The staff are exceptionally helpful and any one of them, including the owner, will check you in, bring drinks to your room etc. The food and wine are divine. The wine is local, totally unknown outside Germany and exceptionally good. We have stayed many times at this hotel organise our trips across Germany so that we can stay there if at all possible.
