Holiday Inn Mannheim City Centre - Mannheim, Germany 

as you start to get into the center of mannheim,hotel is well signposted.once you get to hotel you go into the carpark ,holiday inn have there own floors for parking laid out in green.have to pay for carpark once again on exit.the hotel itself is a very modern hotel with all the facilities you require.rooms are quite small.but are modern and well equiped.hotel is only 1 block away from the main shopping area(mannheim city center is based on a block system like new york)there is a huge department store at the side of the hotel.and the main park with fountains and nice flower gardens is only a 3 minute walk away.when walking across the roads in mannheim be carefull as they have the quitest trams i have ever come across.in all my trips in europe i have got to say mannheim is one of the best citys i have stayed in.if i come back to mannheim i would stay at this hotel again as it deserves it's number 1 ranking.

Stayed with my husband in February 2006 for 3 nights, due to a business trip. The hotel staff were wonderful in accomodating all requests. Excellent location, walking distance to many sights, as suggested in previous review. I would say 90% of the guests staying in this hotel when we were there were on business trips, many visiting Germany. This is not a hotel I would stay at for a family vacation, but it was perfect for our needs. However, was not impressed with pool and sauna facilities, they appear to be very old and not very inviting.
