"Very nice"

Stayed at this hotel December 4th and 5th. The lobby is huge with nice comfortable chairs grouped around tables and sofas/loveseats around tables. Nice coffee bar area. The bar/lounge good sized. Service was excellent. Thought $12.00 USD very pricy for a scotch and water but didn't stop us. Room was very nice and bathroom large. Asked for smoking room and was put in non smoking room. Asked to be moved and desk clerk said not to worry and sent bellman up to room with an ashtray and matches. Breakfast was nice and park river view from the dining area was great. Although out from Munich center transporation was not a problem and taxis were not overly costly even after putting the Hofbrau Haus to bed one night. We recommend this hotel and would stay there again

A wonderful stay

Convenient for 17 tram which links with subway at Isator.<br>Wonderful buffet breakfast. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Would recommend. Go to airport via bus no 57 and train. Very quick and easy. Buy travel card for 18 euro - up to five people can travel on this all day. Only 9 euro for card which covers smaller area. Was worth the money and I want to go back!though avoid using hotel telephones.

Nice Hilton, great location

I stayed at the Hilton Munich for 7 nights during a recent business trip. First I must note I am HIlton Gold so I had free access to the Executive Lounge, which is fabulous. Great h'ors d'eovres each evening, and free drinks (yes FREE) all day (but you can not remove them from the lounge). Breakfast was definitly above average, and the room was clean and well ventilated. The location right near the Sbahn stop is fabulous; you are only two stops from Marienplatz, the center of all action in Munich. Also very convenient to the airport, about 25 minutes by Sbahn. Fitness facility wasn't that great, but it worked. Overall, a nice place and I would definitely stay here again.

Not for a weekend visit

I stayed in the Hilton Munchen Park for a weekend visit to Munich. Although the hotel is nice, the workers are friendly and helpful and the area is quiet (in fact too much; if you are going back late on the night you will not see anybody else around though the centre is plenty of people), I do not think it is the right hotel just for a weekend visit (at least not for the first one to Munich). It is in the east side of the Engelsk Park and very handy to visit it, but further from the city centre and the main attractions than it seems. Anyway, if you are thinking to stay here and using public transport, there is a bus that goes almost from the door to a U-line stop, and from there to the centre there are only three or four stops. Further than that, I will not doubt to recommend this hotel for a stay. Nice rooms, nice views (if you are lucky to get a room in the upper floors) and friendly staff.
