I stayed here for three nights (single room, no private bathroom). The room was small but clean. The hotel breakfast was good and it was free. The hotel staff were friendly. Across the street from the hotel, the main train station and the metro.

This was a GREAT place to stay if you are looking at saving money without sacrificing a CLEAN and safe place to stay. GREAT location! Would definately stay here again!

Friendly, Ecomonical, and Great Location

My wife and I stayed here during Oktoberfest 2007. During Oktoberfest, it is very difficult to find rooms and Pension Locarno had a good rating with a private room. Although we had to share a bathroom and shower with a few other rooms (we did have a sink in our room though), the money we saved was worth it. The staff is extremely friendly - even going as far as trusting us to pay for breakfast the next day after we had a chance to go to the ATM. You simply cannot beat this location. It is located right across the street from the central train station. This means that the train from the airport and any other trains in and around the city go through this station. The subway system is clean and easy to get around, so the location was key for us. We plan to go back when it is not Oktoberfest to see much more of the sites, but for a great stay at good rates with friendly staff, this place is a great bet.
