5We are small family, with 11-old daughter, and needed to go to Munich for some shopping deals. We looked for a small, clean and cheap hotel, in the central part of Munich. We found this one, over internet, and made an reservation. When we contacted hotel stuff was very, very friendly, we didn't need to pay anything in advance, we just called them to say that we were on time.
Main problems with Munich hotels are lack of free parking area, and breakfast isn't always included. Hotel has great continental buffet breakfast, and it's located across of the huge Oktoberfest. In front of the hotel is a street, where is very easy to find free parking place on street side.
After short walk, some 400 m, we were at the side of the Oktoberfest, where is U4 station (subway). After 2-3 minutes of driving (2 stations) we were in a near of Marienplatz. (Main walk & shop area).
Room was very, very clean and warm, it was one double-bad and extra bed, with small TV, no pay TV or radio, but minibar & safe-box. Bath was nice, with soaps and shampoos and small lady's things, and lot of towels. Stuff was really nice; they helped us with some tips & advices. They advise us to take a "Free Munich Tour", which saved some money to us. Commercial tour is around 45? for us, we pay 10? as a tip. The only thing what is true about hotel, what I read about, was that there is no carpet on the floor, but a great German wooden floor. After 6 days in hotel, carpet was last thing to think about in this great, small, quiet and clean hotel with great stuff.
We will go there again!
