Hotel Wetterstein - Munich, Germany

The hotel is located in a very convenient area, not in the city center, but very close to the Wetterstein U-Bahn station. Also, there are some nice restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. This is good especially if you arrive late in the night. The Italian restaurant is very good and... cheap. As for the hotel, the price is very high if compared to the service provided. I was in room 134 and a very heavy smell of cigarettes smoking invaded the corridor and the room during the night. That was quite disturbing. Hairs of somebody else were attached to the hairdrier in the bathroom. The breakfast was good and you can eat as much as you like, but given the price you pay, breakfast is not that special.

The Hotel was rather good, the staff was VERY nice, friendly and hospitable. But my room had not Air conditioner and I should left my window opened: weather was hot and sunny then. Since my room was street sided faced, the street noise had been heared and annoyed me in night-time. Guess, in more colder weather, it wouldn't irritate you. This was only one feature of hotel, that I disliked, but in rest things the hotel was nice. I ticked the price/quality ratio as 7, since I think the rate for the room was overpriced in time when congress in Munich was held and all of hotels were overbooked.

All the above good characteristiscs loose their significance because of the very small rooms... One cannot stand up and if there are two persons in the room is very difficult. That's why we left the first day. If one wants to stay for one noght is good but not for six nights. And the photos were not the truth.

We enjoyed our weekend in Munich very much! The hotel was located only within 3 min. walking distance from the subway and the streetcar stations. The staffs were very kind and friendly. The breakfast was rich and good. The price (we booked the weekend rate directly thru the hotel´s homepage) was reasonable, even cheaper than other pensions with 2 or 3 stars!! We will surely stay at this hotel again when we are in Munich!
