  • The rooms were spacious enough, spotless, and quiet. Everyone of the staff was friendly, helpful and just a delight to talk to. We didn't have the buffet for breakfast (too many euros) but it looked fine. The location of the hotel couldn't have been more convenient. Five minutes to the Railway station and about 15 or 20 minute walk to the Marienplatz.. Read review

  • At first, we had booked a hotel that needed us to take a train from the main station in Munich for two stops. Right before our trip, we decided to find a hotel near the station. This was a really good change as it is difficult to find help in the Munich station regarding tickets and changing trains. The room was lovely - nicely furnished (for a king with canopy) and was very, very clean. The front desk young women were terrific - answering all of our questions, providing maps, ideas for walks and a brochure for our day trip to Neuschwanstein, getting us extra pillows and towels. No breakfast was included in our price - there was a beautiful buffet, but it was 15 Euros per person - fortunately, there was a terrific bakery across the street and slightly to the left! The other reason we were so glad to be situated near the train station (many people write about staying at the Tourbau in the Marienplatz): 1. This met across the street from the train station in front of the Hertie's Department store. Our final day, we took the Lufthansa Airlines bus to the airport (10 Euro vs. Very simple and on the side of the train station nearest our hotel.. Read review

  • We booked this hotel as a bed and breakfast package. The staff was very friendly and helpful; all spoke English to a very high standard to my embarrassment as I can only say a few words in German. Our room was on the second floor facing the main road. We went for a twin room which is generally bigger than a double room and this was more than adequate, the rooms were clean and well maintained and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was great, buffet style there’s continental, cold meat, cheese, yogurt fruit etc, English style, bacon egg etc, you can make your own waffles if you like and just to round things off smoked Salmon and Champagne, after having breakfast we didn't need anything to eat before tea. The service provided was really good, special mention to Jan the bartender who was brilliant, his patter, party tricks and his ability to ensure that all the hotel guests around the bar, which was smallish but cosy, knew everyone there..
