King's Hotel Center - Munich, Germany 

"lovely stay"

Approximately 3 minutes walk from munich central staion, this hotel was ideal in terms of convenience. Decent sized clean rooms with a four poster bed and enough space to move round made it a very comfortable stay. The staff were extremely helpful and even recommended some lovely places to eat. Service was prompt (Like when I asked for an iron). Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here 3 nights in May with my husband. Very quiet place, can't hear footsteps above you at all. It's walking distance to the train station and to lots of attractions. Front desk staff seemed very helpful and courteous, a nice change from the US hotel staff who are bothered by every question. There are a couple of strip clubs nearby, but I didn't notice any noise (people or traffic) as a result. I felt very safe walking back at night. I did not try the restaurant or bar. Breakfast buffet seemed expensive with little for vegetarians for me so I skipped it.

From the photo's on the website it looked like it was a bit outdated and run-down, but I took a chance. when I entered the hotel it surprised me it is quite modern and well furnished. It The staff was very friendly, the food was very good. The hotel is at a great location: a couple of streets away from the central station and walking distance from the city center. this hotel is a great choice!!

The check in was smooth and professional. The lifts were abit small but it was ok. We were given a smoking room but they offered us a non-smoking room when we requested. However, we felt the non-smoking room which faced the main road was not as nice. The smoking room was ok - no smell of cigarettes and the room was cosy and clean. The hair dryer was not working very well. The shower area was very small. The beds were comfortable although the pillows were too soft for us. Housekeeping was great keeping / tidying our rooms clean daily. The hotel is only about 5 - 10 minutes walk to the main train station and is quite safe and quiet at night. On our last day, we left our bags at the hotel. A note though - the room to where the bags are kept is not locked nor manned by anyone. Anyone can go in and retrieve the bags. So best to keep your bags locked and not leave any valuables inside (if it helps).
