"Perfect location, very friendly, very clean"

The location is perfect as only a few steps from Marienplatz and the shopping area. The underground is next to the hotel. I stayed 2 night. The rooms are of average size but very tasteful and very clean. My room was facing the street side but with the air-condition no problem. The bathrooms are very modern and also very clean. Breakfast was of excellent quality. It seem to be of major quality than the other hotels of this category! A special thanks to the unique and helpful staff

location is just perfect staff as good as the best i have met anywhere in the world breakfast excellent just one disappointing aspect we booked for 7nights and we were given a small room on the first floor when their were very good rooms on the second floor where we stayed on the second leg of our journey it is a pity we had not been given this room at the begining.i would recomend this hotel.

NIce Apartment in Great Location

We rented an apartment (not hotel room) at the Carat and found it to be clean and comfortable. The main room was furnished with a large bed (two twins put together, European style), sofa bed, table and chairs, breakfast bar with three barstools, and a television. The separate kitchenette was well supplied (coffee maker, oven, stove, fridge and plates/utensils), but lacked a toaster or dishwasher. The spacious bathroom featured a tub/shower. While others have commented on the small size and older furnishings of the hotel rooms here, we found the apartment to be ample for three people; furnishings, lighting and hallways appeared relatively new, and everything was very clean. The apartment building has a TINY elevator and a bright, open stairway. We did not try the hotel breakfast, preferring to buy groceries and relax over breakfast in the apartment. The staff were very friendly and fluent in English. The location is perfect -- a 15-20 minute walk from major attractions in central Munich, such as Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, and Pinakothek museums. U-bahn and tram connections are close by. In all, this was a very good value for a comfortable stay in a great location.
