Hotel Italia - Munich, Germany

Pleasant, no frills little hotel in the middle of Munich, within easy walking distance of old town. Staff was very competent, helpful and friendly. Room was small but clean. Surrounding area a little scuffy but ok. Breakfast was excellent with friendly staff. Parking for car about 1 1/2 blocks away from hotel.Price/Quality ratio is good. I would certainly recommend this hotel for a short, inexpensive stay in Munich.

The overall "7" is due to the small spaces available, either common and non common (rooms, really small). Concerning the breakfast, I would suggest only to add some cakes (like "cornetti") in the available selection. Though it is not a big problem: around the corner there is a nice "mueller" backery with a wide selection of cakes and cornetti, but it's such a discomfort to go out early in the morning, in Munich winter, to catch some add for the breakfast...! Assistance, competence and quality of service very good. People friendly and supporting.

The room was nice and comfortable, staff were helpful. The only problem is the noise. When people come in late at night (and it's located in a red-light district near the station) the halls are so loud it sounds like they're inside your room! I was awoken twice at 1:30 and 2:00 am and didn't sleep the rest of the night.

We were going for the Oktoberfest, The location was great. Everything in walking distance.( But the price during the festival is to high.) We will be back next year

Cleanly room, tasty breakfast, moderate speed charge-free Wi-Fi and special note is their good location. Almost traveler will be satisfied. But a few guests may find bothersome about noise from corridor and stairs.
