The rooms although quite small were clean. The breakfast was plentiful - everything you would want to have for breakfast was available. I had dinner in the adjoining restaurant and the food was very good and at a very reasonable price. Good Hotel, Great Location, Great Breakfast.. Read review

My family (husband and 3 year old child, plus my mother and father in another room) stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Since we were visiting family members in the area, the central location was great for getting around town. The breakfast was excellent and had a great variety. My child is a picky eater so I did take in little boxes of his favorite cereal, but usually he ate from the buffet. The rooms are small, by US standards, but we reserved a room with a King Size bed, which like most German homes I've been in, means 2 twins pushed together. The hotel staff offered to set up a Pack 'n Play as a bed for my child, which we declined, and instead asked for an additional duvet to fill in the opening between the bed. Most of the staff speaks some English and were very helpful.. Read review

This hotel was little strange, reception and where I staied was different building. Hotel did not explaned well about this so we had very difficlt time to find it. However, after understood the system, its went all very good. The restaurant next hotel was excellent for the lunch in very convenient price!

Everything is basically OK, especially the location - we didn't really need any transport to get most of Munich attractions - city center, English park, museums, cafes, bars, bath-house and so on. But I thought the size of room and quality of room' decoration would be better for 3* hotel...

This hotel has a great location as you can easily walk to the city center or the underground is almost right next door. The neighborhood is very safe, clean, and quiet. The room was up to date and large enough. It also has an excellent breakfast and restaurant.

We chose the hotel on the basis on the photos on the website and its connection with the Tannenbaum Hotel. We were under the impression that there would be a lovely biergarten that we could use but were very disappointed with the fact that it was barely open and didnt seem to be connected at all to the Herzog Hotel.. The photos of the hotel did not bear any resemblance to the hotels, especially the Tannenbaum restaurant. The hotel itself was clean and very functional and we have no complaints but it should be made far more clear on the website what sort of hotel it is. We have travelled to Munich many times and although the location of the hotel is very good , it is not very good for a group of friends staying as there is no communal area for them to meet up. If the Tannenbaum restaurant was open then it would have been much better.
