1This hotel is a three minute walk from the train station. it is on top of an apartment/office building. The room was ready when we arrived and big as well as the bathroom (compared to other European hotels that we stayed in the past). The mattress on the bed was very hard, we started to feel muscle aches after the 2nd night (we stayed 4 nights here). Just imagine after the 4th night.....Street noise was also a factor even if it is located on the 5th floor. There is a cabaret and live show bar across the street that opens at 10 PM and remains open until 4 or 5 AM. One night that we were in, there was a big fight in the middle of the street, guys punching each other at 1 AM in the morning! We woke up with that commotion. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is not recommended. There are better hotels just a few blocks away.
When we first checked in and prior to leaving the States we also verified with someone at the hotel, that they accepted credit cards. On the 3rd day there was a sign on the front desk that says "Cash Only". We had to explain to the staff that we verified everything that the hotel accepted credit cards. The staff was willing to compromise and honored our request with regards to our form of payment. We think this was the only highlight of our stay here in this hotel. So fair warning to everyone out there, make sure they will accept your credit card or else make sure you have plenty of cash. Breakfast buffet was also decent but the breakfast room is small.
Will not recommend this hotel to anyone, there are better ones near the train station.
