A great gem, in the Cologne suburbs

Haus an den 7 Wegens. Köln (Dellbrück). Grafenmühlenweg 220. This place is a bit out of town, but is a real gem, on par with the best Marriott hotels in the US. Car parking is free and plentiful. S-Bahn stations are nearby. We had a room. Our friends had a room also. Staff was nice. We checked in late; but having phoned ahead, the staff left keys out for us. Spotless, large and comfortable room. Bathroom is very spacious. Bath tub has arm rests, a back rest/shelf feature at one end with faucet in the middle but above the bathtub so it does not interfere. Wife soaked in the bathtub for an eternity and wants one just like it at home now. The shower stall has great water pressure. The towel rails are heated—quite a luxury. Fantastic breakfast: great cold cuts, hardboiled eggs, cereals, cheese, tomatos, pickles, yummy rolls and _fresh_ butter.
