It is very nicely located near a beautiful woodland and lake with spacious grounds. Although the building looks a bit plain and drab on the outside, it is really nice inside. The resturant has a wonderful view of the lake and you can see very energetic joggers running past while you over-eat from the wonderful breakfast buffet!. The staff were very helpful and friendly and full of maps and suggestions.

This Holiday Inn, which has a 4 star rating, is located in the beautiful StadtGruenGurtel (city green belt) park of Cologne. The hotel it self is by a beautiful lake surrounded by trees and has a petting zoo nearby. <br><br>The hotel is OLD, and dirty. The only amenity you get, is a large bottle of soap bolted next to the sink AND tub.<br><br>Cologne has many nice hotels, decently priced. I recommend checking HRS.de for the best places!

We stayed heer for just 1 night in June on our way from Zagreb to Paris. It is a bit of a treck from the HBF as you have to take the U-Bahn then a tram. There are no signs when you get off the tram so we had to walk for a while to find the hotel. The hotel is ugly from teh outside but nice enough inside. Our room was very nice and if the weather had been better the view over the park and lake would have been lovely. Staff spoke English although they could not recommend any Chinese restaurants in the city! Checkout was a little slow.
