Euro Garden Mark Hotel - Cologne, Germany

Booked online in the US, got a great rate and was very pleased with the hotel. I was in Cologne for 2 weekdays of business. A short walk out the back of the train station, right off a main street. The staf was very friendly as I tried to check in early (8:30 am). They offered to call me (and did) as soon as the room was ready (11:30). Since check in was at 3, I was pleased. Very nice breakfast with lots of service. Although my window faced out to main road, it was not that bad and I did not hear the trains at the station.

Situated behind the station this hotel is ideally placed if arriving from the airport by the S-Bahn. All places of interest are within walking distance and the U-Bahn is practically on the doorstep. Everything about the hotel is excellent although the presence of a large fan in the room suggests that in hot weather there may be a problem. The immediate area is not particularly attractive but not far away is an interesting street called the Eigelstein.
