Callas am Dom details: The Hotel Callas Am Dom is a privately managed hotel in the centre of Cologne, adjacent to the world famous cathedral. It is only a few minutes to walk to the city, the arts centre with museums, the Philharmonic, theatres and the opera. Our hotel is situated in a pedestrian mall. You will find several kinds of shops and restaurants. To reach the main railway station you just need a two minute walk.
From the Köln/Bonn Airport shuttle-busses go directly to the main railway station. The International Exhibition Centre *Köln Messe* can be reached in 3 minutes by train or in 15 minutes by foot.

This family run hotel is in a perfect location in Cologne. It's literally just steps away from the Dom, as well as our new favourite restaurant, Brauhaus Fr?h. The rooms are small but clean, and our room was very quiet because it faced away from the busy pedestrian traffic. The breakfast was okay (not fantastic, though). But the location and price of this hotel makes it all worthwhile. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't require luxury.

I have stayed in this hotel for four consecutive years in December for 4-6 nights for the Christmas markets. I found the staff to be extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. The room itself is just what we wanted - overlooking the Hohe Strasse. I know some people might find it noisy but that is only if you open the windows. We actually love the hum of the crowds and the atmosphere of Christmas. Our room was clean, comfortable and the hotel is the best location you could wish for. Keep up the good work Callas and we will be back again in 2008.
