A great little family run Hotel. We asked for a no smoking room, and a no smoking room we had, with comfortable beds! OK we had no air conditioning but there was a fan which made the situation more comfortable. and we knew we didn't have air conditioning when we booked! The whole hotel was beautifully clean, the staff were so very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them, I needed a plaster for a blister, asked the girl on reception for the german word for plaster and out of the cupboard came scissors and box of strip plaster, obviously kept to help guests out when required The breakfast was lovely a good selection of fruits, yogurts, cereal, meats, cheeses, as well as a hot selection. The breads and rolls were fresh and a great selection. Although the hotel was full and on the Sunday morning we were all at breakfast at a similar time when plates were near empty they were speedily replenished so there was plenty for all. It is a pleasant 15- 20 minute walk across the Rhine into the main part of the city or there is a public transort link just across the road. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to my friends and family and when next visiting Cologne it will be MY FIRST CHOICE !
