We stayed here for 1 night and everything was brilliant. The hotel is approx 20 mins from HAM airport and cost about 19 euros in a taxi. We were checked in very quickly and efficiently and they allocated us a room before the official check in of 2pm. Our room was a lurid green (sounds awful-but really works!) with very comfortable beds and nice and spacious. Yes,the mini bar is completely free no matter what rate you book. The fridge contains 2 beers,2 waters and 1 coke and 1 7up. There is also tea and coffee. The bathroom was one of the nicest I have seen in a 5 star . There is a free standing bath and separate,large shower.Yet again in green. When you stay at Le Meridien they also give you a free boat pass which is handy to get to the city.The pick up point was only minutes from the hotel. The views from Le Ciel bar is great.The staff very friendly and courteous also. We enjoyed a lovely french meal in Le Ciel in the evening (approx 100 euros for 2 people) .The buffet breakfast whilst expensive (20 euros pp) was worth it. Finally we tried out the Futuresse spa,and i can highly recommend the steam room which had lovely twinkling lights in the ceiling. Hamburg is a fab city,we just wished we could have had longer there. Definately give this hotel a try - we loved it!

Le Royal Meridian Hamburg is very pretty with a very attentive staff. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel because it was over 20 euros and there were cafes nearby. Nice location on the lake, only 10 minute walk from the train station, 15 minutes to the large shopping area. The room was a good size with a large bathroom including a tub and separate large shower. The pool was small, but the whole pool/spa area was very clean and relaxing. I would stay there again.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, beautiful and quiet. The plasma TV was a nice touch. The pool was super clean and tranquil. The bed was so comfortable and the down pillows were great. The walk-in shower with the various body sprays was great. The stay included free rides on the tour boat for the Alster Lake across the street from the hotel. There are lots of coffee shops and restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. We were able to walk all over Hamburg from this hotel.

Super modern hotel in excellent location, although some staples, such as the wash basin, are over the top. Great view over the Alster in the restaurant.
