3.4On the plus side, the room was very cheap (and all room rates include the excellent breakfast!) and very close to the train station. Therefore, no dragging suitcases around town, taking taxis, or having to walk a while to get to public transport. Also, there is free WiFi in the room (I think they should advertise this on the page itself, since many hotels have WiFi access at a cost). The front desk staff was competent and fluent in multiple languages.
On the other hand, though, the single room I had was miniscule, the smallest room I've ever had. It was tough to walk around without bumping into something. The photos on the Venere page don't show the entire view of the room, but there isn't really any more space than what you see in the photo. The room, being close to the main train station, is also close to some big roads and so is not all that quiet.
All in all, I didn't spend too much time in the room, so it definitely wasn't a bad stay, but it wasn't amazing either. This was my first trip to Frankfurt, so next time I might try to see if I could pay a couple more Euros/night to get a slightly bigger room. Generally I think Frankfurt is pretty expensive, so it might be that this is standard for similar rate rooms in the city. But I'd like to try one more time before I return.
