The newly renovated Westin Grand Frankfurt has comfortable, stylish rooms with all of the amenities one would expect of a Westin. The bathrooms are spacious and elegantly furnished. There are, of course, the heavenly beds, and the desk is quite well designed. The desk chair is comfortable enough to use for several hours of work. The Internet connection is quite expensive, however. My room had but one small window; I would have liked to have had more, even if there is nothing special to view. The hotel's housekeeping is meticulous and all the staff are extraordinarily service oriented, from the bellmen to the front desk to the restaurant. The breakfast buffet is extensive, carefully prepared and quite delicious, although a little pricey. On one morning of my stay there was no hot water. They told me the problem would be remedied in a few hours and it was. One of the things I like the best about this hotel is its location. It is an easy walk to MANY excellent, small restaurants-- from Thai to German to Italian to sushi to Indian. An excellent shopping district is five minutes away. It is also a short, 7-8 minute walk to seveal of the museums. And if you're visiting in December, a Christmas market starts just two blocks away.
