The Stresemannplatz location is near enough to the train station and Konigstrasse to be relatively convenient to most of Dusseldorf. I was able to walk to many sites in a few hour excursion. The area is not the greatest, with a lot of adult and "alternative" The rooms are small. My colleague's single room was smaller than my first dorm room in college, with a tiny walk-in shower that he did not fit in. It reminded me of a ship's cabin on a lower level. My room was slightly larger with a tub/shower combo. The room was clean and the bedding was reasonably comfortable. My request for an iron and board took about an hour. Service was just OK to good. Breakfast was expansive and tasty, but 16 Euro if you don't buy it with your room. Servers were good. Front desk staff varied from the totally apathetic to the genuinely helpful. I waited for my luggage to be delivered and for the desk staff to notify me when it arrived from the airline- only to find out it had been sitting at the front desk for 4 hours while I twiddled my thumbs in the room. They didn't seem to care. There are better deals to be had in Dusseldorf. If you want the convenience and price, this isn't a bad spot.

We had a good experience when we stayed here for 3 nights in February. The hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from the main train station in Dusseldorf so it's a great location for traveling to other parts of the city or to other cities (Koln, Frankfurt, etc.) One thing to be aware of is the abundance of "adult entertainment" joints in the area. The hotel itself is nice and clean. The staff is fairly friendly - allowed us to check in early when we arrived and called a taxi for us. The rooms are small, but clean and up-to-date. Breakfast was included in the room price and was wonderful! Would stay here again, especially given the price.
