There isn't a lot to say about this place. I was just stopping over for a night whilst visiting a trade fair. It's a typical German 2 or 3 star hotel. Either out of date or poorly decorated, but quiet and clean. Freindly and helpful staff at reception. The room I was in was smallish, with a small ensuite, but OK. The only problem I would have with it is the size of the lift! It is tiny. If you are travelling with a lot of luggage or young kids and a buggy, be ready to make several trips up and down. However this wouldn't be enough to stop me staying again. A word of note is that the hotel's location is excellent. It is on a large street about 50metres froma Taxi rank so access to the Messe is easy and about ?10.00. The street runns parrallel on one side to one of teh main shopping streets and on the other side to the Altstadt. This Old Town area is also known as the worlds largest bar as it has hundreds of them (and restaurants) all in a very compact area with something to suit every taste.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past two years while on business in Dusseldorf. The rooms are small and basic and the elevator would be a nightmare with huge luggage! However, it is in the Alstadt (old area) and very conveniently located to the train system. We didn't even pick up a rental car until the Dusseldorf portion of the trip was complete. The breakfast which is included with the room was very nice. If you are looking for posh, this is not the hotel but for nice service at a decent price and convenience I would recommend it.
