Courtyard Marriott Hafen - Dusseldorf, Germany 

This is THE hotel to stay in here in D?sseldorf. Its clean, the staff is super attentive, and the place is quiet. Its located on the harbor which has stunning architecture. Its a bit away from the town center, about a 15 minute walk, but well worth it. It was also the least expensive hotel I priced with the most amenities.

An excellent facility located a good 30 minute walk from the old town area. Since we were in town primarily as tourists we found the location a bit too remote. That said, the hotel itself is very nice with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The extra 10EUR or so is well worth it for a river view room, otherwise you're just looking at the back of another building. Breakfast was great and quite varied (especially for a Courtyard). The restaurant overlooks the river and is nicely decorated. Staff was friendly (especially at the restaurant) and their english was quite proficient (for those of us who know little more than a few basic german words). Nothing against the hotel, but would probably stay in old town next time.
