Situated on the outskirts of the Dresdner Heide (Dresden Heath), Alberstadt is one of Germany’s largest garrison cities. It developed at the end of the 19th century.
At nearby Obrichtplatz you find a museum of military history housed within an impressive building. Within walking distance you also find the military academy, the regional council, the custom office and the garrison church whose 90-metre spire towers above its surroundings and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Elbe Valley.
Along Königsbrücker Straße you find an area where parties and events are held in former factory buildings.

Travel information
From the A4 motorway:- Exit for Dresden-Hellerau and drive along Radeburger Strasse towards the city centre.
- After 1.5 km, you will reach a junction where you will see an ARAL petrol station on your right-hand side - turn left into Stauffenbergallee.
- You will see the entrance to the hotel on your right-hand side after 1.5 km.
