Just one minute away from tram to city centre, breakfast was good.
The hotel was described as 10 minutes by public transport to the centre of Dresden which was not true. There is ongoing repair work to the tramline and all passengers have to change onto a bus. It took us about 40 mins. each time. Without the disruption it would probably take about 25 mins into town. (not 10 mins)
Good variety of restaurants 300 m. up the road in the village of Klotschke. Very good breakfast provided at Pension Kaden included in rate. Very nicely and newly furnished rooms. It is a pension with no facilities of a hotel.
We were put into the annex building(with single rooms) so I never saw the beautiful rooms and furniture which had attracted me in the photos.
The owner said we had to pay in cash as she could not accept credit cards. This was not convenient but at least we were told when we arrived so we could go to the bank.
Nice, clean rooms. Very good breakfast. Choices of restaurants in the area rather restricted but we found one that met our needs within a block or two of the pension.

Auf diesem Wege möchten wir uns nochmal ganz herzlich bei dem Team der Hotel-Pension-Kaden für das nette Wochenende Anfang März bedanken. Die Pension ist für einen Besuch in Dresden geradezu ideal. Man erreicht die Innenstadt mit dem Kneipenviertel und den wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem mit dem Auto oder der Bahn in wenigen Minuten. Für uns war letzteres gerade angenehm, da wir beide so einen schönen Abend in der "Semperoper" bei einigen Glas Wein ausklingen lassen konnten.
Am nächsten Morgen konnte ich dann abseits von jedem Lärm, quer über die Strasse, in der Dresdner Heide joggen.
Das Zimmer selbst war sehr sauber, das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen und auch die Mitarbeiter waren nett und freundlich.
Einziger Nachteil für uns war, dass eine Zahlung mit Kreditkarte generell nicht möglich ist, aber es gab zum Glück eine Bank um die Ecke.
Alles in allem waren es aber drei sehr schöne Tage, weshalb ich das Haus bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen kann. Konrath
