Derag Kanzler Bonn - Bonn, Germany     

We stayed one night at this Hotel on our way to Austria. We were very impressed and wished we were staying longer. The Hotel is immaculately clean and attractive. The room was really comfortable with all facilities. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was excellent with a fantastic choice. Car park facilities are very good and worth paying 12 euros. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk of the River Rhine which was interesting to see. We had a meal in the Italian Restaurant within the Hotel which was very nice. The food excellent. We would like to return at a future date.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel over New Year and had an excellent experience. The hotel itself is immaculate with extremely helpful staff, great breakfast and it is very quiet. The rooms are excellent with very tasteful modern furnishing, including a flat screen TV, mini bar, excellent bathroom and a canopy over the bed and a panel at the end of it (with a modern painting), making a sort of pseudo 4-poster effect!(see photos). The hotel location is good - it's about a 25 minute walk into the centre of Bonn (alternatively it is 2 minutes walk to the nearest metro station and a 5 minute hop to the Hauptbanhoff). Alternatively, if you are in Bonn for the musuems, the location is fabulous - it's a 10 minute stroll (alongside the River if you wish) to the Museum Mile which boasts some world class exhibition spaces such as the Kunstmuseum Bonn and the zoological Museum Alexander Koenig. On the whole I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and indeed recommend Bonn for an excellent short break.
