Best Western Forest Lodge Hotel - Lyndhurst, United Kingdom     

We stayed at this hotel as a group of 24 in December 2007 for the Christmas Party weekend. From the very beginning of the booking the staff were extremely helpful doing everything possible to provide for the needs a large group to enjoy the weekend. On arrival the reception staff were welcoming and all the staff were very friendly and helpful The rooms differed in quality and the vast majority were very good. The Christmas Party was very well organised, the food was excellent with good menu choices. The whole evening was a great success. Some of the group took advantage of the stop over night and had a evening meal in the newly refurbished restaurant. The menu again was very good and the food and service were excellent. All the public rooms have recently been refurbished and are all excellent and very comfortable. The swimming pool is also very good. All in all a great weekend break in a very pretty part of the country. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I used to live in the New Forest and was visiting friends and family. We had stayed at several other spots over the years. But this was our first experience with the BW Forest Lodge. This Hotel is minutes walk from the center of the village - but overlooks the rambling open country with wild ponies. The staff are incredibly friendly. This is a warm unpretentious spot with an indoor pool. It's price was right -- with the dollar pound damage. And there are pubs a few steps away in all directions to welcome you to the British way of relaxing. Or you can use the Lodge's cute snug bar.
