I'm a single parent with a son aged 11. We loved almost everything about the Louis Colossos all the reviews are right the food is amazing and the staff cannot do enough for you. The hotel itself is beautiful and set in lovely clean grounds. My only 'complaint' and i hate to say the word - is that there are 2 lifeguards who would not let my son play in the pool, he was only allowed to swim - not allowed to splash, jump or make any noise whatsoever. As soon as they heard a noise they were both there watching his every move and i am not exaggerating. We met a family with 6 children and they also were not allowed to play in the pool - the children had no entertainment during the day in the pool as they were not allowed to join in with the polo games or any other water games even though they were big enough. This really did spoil it for us as my son spends all our holiday in the pool- i understand the need for safety but they were far too over the top. Otherwise this hotel is fantastic and really good value for money for couples and young families.
