Dining

The restaurant of the Royal Hotel was designed in a very unique way. The modern stylish decor of the historical walls evokes the spirit of the old town of Gdańsk. Our menu is a combination of the old Polish and European cuisine's specialties. To satisfy all of our guests' requirements we do what we can to fulfill all of their wishes. Undoubtedly anyone who crosses the threshold of our restaurant pleases their palate with the excellent taste of our cuisine.

The hotel looks extremely good on its website, and the location seems to be very central. And it is - for a bird, not on the road. 'Cause there are no bridge directly from the island of the hotel to the Old Town, so you have to walk 10-15 minutes. That's one point down. The hotel provides no safe in the room - not good. The rooms however are nice, although the beds are strangely build, so that you have to lie right in the middle of the mattress if you don't want to fall off. No cuddling with the spouse here! Would I stay here again? No - I would definitely choose a hotel that actually IS close to the Old Town, not just with a view of it...

Met our expectations. We got the Captain's Apartment, on the top floor of the building with amazing views. Breakfast was excellent, location is also very good (not right in the town centre but merely 10 minutes walk away). The place is and feels a quality place, with good fittings, good restaurant and excellent service throughout. The only drawback I'd say is that in the apartment the views are from the living room, whist the bedroom hasn't got a window at all. Definitely recommended.
