Spent 3 nights at the Veritas and can only give it praise. The place is spotless; comfortable rooms, nice bathroom with good shower, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast with nice variety of breads, cheese, meats, some hot items, cereals, yoghurt, hot and cold drinks. However, don't come expecting the hotel to be right in the heart of the city though, the price you'll pay reflects this (its superb value) - it does however have excellent links to all parts of Buda, Pest and Obuda if needed, being only a 3 minute walk to Stadionok metro station (M2 towards central Pest and Buda) and tram stop (lines 1 & 1A towards Szechenyi Baths and City Park/Varosliget). Public transport is good value. Its also served by the night buses back from Pest too! Locally, you can dine in the hotel in the evening (I didn't- sorry), or there are reasonably priced bars/restaurants nearby. Finally, would definitely go back and stay at the Veritas again, hopefully in the not too distant future.
