Victor's Residenz-Hotel Berlin - Berlin, Germany     

I travelled with my husband and we stayed 4 nights in Victors Residenz. We had a studio apartment which added to the comfort. The sitting room was beautifully furnished with a balcony overlooking the gardens. A very comfortable double bedroom, also overlooking the gardens and a large bathroom and hall way with a small kitchen. The hotel is well located and a real bonus is Bus No 200, which goes from outside the hotel. This hits almost all points of interest including the Museum Island and the Brandenburg Gate as well as the largest Dept Store on mainland Europe, Ka De Wa. Service in the hotel was first class with a lot of nice touches such as free mineral water and fruit available at reception. The breakfast was great and included a huge range of well labeled healthy options. If not going the healthy route there is a great ice cream parlour next door and a little Italian Bistro at the end of the road. There is also a very good well priced hairdresser round the corner on the main road. If travelling to Tegel the shuttle bus passes close by on the main road

Die Lage des Victor's Residenz Hotels ist nicht sonderlich zentral. Ohne Auto oder Taxi schaut es schlecht aus. Ein- und Auschecken an der Rezeption erfolgt schnell und zügig, aber leider auch ohne persönliches Interesse des Personals. Alles erscheint wie erlernt, etwas überheblich und kühl. Abreise ohne Frage ob es gefallen hat oder nicht. Wie gesagt, alles ohne Interesse. Zimmer sind nett und sauber, aber leider ohne Charme. Die Spieluhr am Nachttisch im Zimmer unterstützt perfekt das Einschlummern und hinterlässt einen bleibenden Eindruck. Bad ist OK aber auch Standard für gute 4 Sterne Häuser in Berlin. Zimmer zur Strasse sind laut, Zimmer zum Innenhof kosten Aufpreis. Also Vorsicht bei der Buchung, sonst macht der Straßelärm das Einschlafen recht schwierig, zumindest mit offenem Fenster. Klimaanlage war nicht vorhanden. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, umfangreich und nett angerichtet. Speisen sind lecker. Der Service ist sehr gut. Leider hat der Frühstücksraum keinen besonderen Eindruck hinterlassen. Tischanordnung ist ungemütlich. Tische im hinteren Bereich sind zu dunkel. Das könnte man besser machen. Wohlfühl-Feeling kommt trotz der guten Speisen nicht auf. Schade. Die Tiefgarage ist definitiv zu klein für die Anzahl der Gäste. Ab 18:00 ist alles voll und Parken an der Strasse ist fast nicht möglich. Wie gesagt, Berlin hat reichlich 4 Sterne Hotels und das Victor's Residenz Hotel ist nicht unter den Top 10. Sorry.
