Location

City Centre, Shopping Centre, Museum Area, Near Subway

The hotel is located right in the centre of Berlin, just a few minutes' walk away from Potsdamer Platz. Many of the city's most famous sights are within walking distance. Potsdamer Platz has a modern shopping mall, a casino and the musical theatre Bluemax (the Blue Man Group’s current venue). The Mauermuseum at Checkpoint Charlie gives a fascinating insight into the history of the city and the wall. The Reichstag - the seat of the German Parliament - can be reached easily, as can Berlin’s most famous symbol: the Brandenburg Gate.

Great location - just 5 minutes walk to Potsdamer Platz and very near a underground station and bus links. A very large room - a rather odd set-up (microwave, separate airline-style toilet, sliding blinds to divide your room into a sleeping and living area) but functional. Unfortunately no restaurant in the hotel, but they said I could go next door to the Ibis hotel. Also no free wifi access. Would recommend to those who want a basic room in a central location...but without any frills.

Stayed in the Suitehotel for four days at an incredably low rate. Good location, affordable indoor parking. Large 30m2 room with desk, bathroom with bath and shower, seperate toilet, microwave, fridge. So, what more would anyone want? Well, I just felt a bit, well, I don't know. The feeling you get after the occasional Big Mac or Whopper. Only during the aftertaste you realise that it just isn't the quality you would really like. But I suppose sometimes, it's what you want anyway; easy and affordable. Another thing that Big Macs, Whoppers and Suitehotels (or other Accor hotels) have in common, is the lack of cultural sense. Same in Berlin, Paris, Vienna. The street houses three Accor brand hotels in a long row - something I've also experienced in Lisbon. A very anonymous decor, in an old city.. It is hard to rate this experience. On the one hand it's a full five, on the other it is terrible.. decide for yourself! I would certainly not pay the rack rate, but our four nights for €240 (breakfast excluded) were surely great value.
